ITS TIME FOR TRUTH AND ACCURACY ABOUT OUR FAILED DRUG POLICIES

Seeing the "Land of the Free" turn into a nation that imprisons more of its citizens than any other industrialized nation on earth is neither effective or a good message to send our children. We are building 9 new prisons for every one new university. Which do you want built for your children?

The Partnership for a Drug Free America campaign is subsidized by your tax dollars, fifty percent discounts are provided as these misleading ads are deemed "Public Service Announcements." Additional financial help from huge pharmaceutical companies is proudly elaborated upon on their web page. The Partnership has admitted that it got its start with contributions from the liquor industry. So how can this be a Partnership for a DRUG FREE America? It apparently has no problem with the two most deadly drugs on the planet tobacco and alcohol which combined kill nearly 500,000 people every year in the United States alone. Nor does it seem to worry about the third most deadly drug related item. When taken on the whole, prescription drugs are vastly more deadly than illegal drugs by orders of magnitude. So perhaps the Partnership for a Drug Free America ought to be renamed to the Partnership for a Drugs that we don't like Free America.

Isn't it time you became aware and informed as to the FACTS regarding what our existing drug policy is doing to our nation, our economy, our inner cities, our family structure, our children, and our freedoms?

We came up with quite a list of potential names when creating this web page but settled on Partnership for Drug-policy Facts and Alternatives (PDFA) because it describes our objectives. We want to help you become aware of the FACTS, to become informed and to begin to think about ALTERNATIVES to our failed, destructive, cruel, and expensive "War on Drugs."

Misleading million dollar ad campaigns will not accomplish anything other than to make Hollywood and Madison Avenue richer. Children laugh at most ads put out by the Partnership for a Drug Free America and the latest statistics indicate that youthful drug use is again on the rise.

If you aren't already aware of it you've been duped by organizations like the Partnership for a Drug Free America, the DEA, the prison industrial complex, the ONDCP, and many of our "leaders."
